Challenge
The Extra High Voltage Transmission Company (EHVTC) is a subsidiary of China Southern Power Grid, responsible for the main power transmission framework of the Western Electricity to Eastern China. It covers five provinces and regions — Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, and Hainan — making significant contributions to the healthy, rapid, and sustainable development of these regions. With the rapid growth of its business, the company faces the following challenges in daily operation and maintenance:
Inadequate Lock Management: The large number and variety of locks make unlocking time-consuming, affecting operational efficiency. Universal keys can lead to accidental operations, and civilian-grade locks are prone to corrosion outdoors and cannot record unlocking operations.
Inadequate Key Management: The vast number of keys makes them difficult to locate, carry, and prone to loss. Borrowing records are mostly handwritten and hard to preserve long-term. In unattended substations, keys can be easily lost or duplicated, posing significant security risks.
Solution
To address these challenges, EHVTC introduced our AT500-E Intelligent Key and Lock Management System, which features the following capabilities:
Authorized Unlocking: Only authorized personnel can unlock within specified times and areas, ensuring operational safety.
Intelligent Lockout: The system automatically rejects unauthorized operations, preventing accidental actions.
Management Traceability: All unlocking operations are recorded for easy post-event tracing and accountability.

Increased Efficiency: A single intelligent key replaces all mechanical keys, significantly reducing unlocking time and enhancing operational efficiency by 50%.
