PEA Delegation Visits CYG Contron to Enhance Smart Power Collaboration

Last month, CYG Contron warmly welcomed a delegation from Thailand’s Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), cementing a key milestone in Sino‑Thai technical collaboration for smarter, safer power solutions. Together, we explored cutting‑edge technologies, live demonstrations, and laid the groundwork for customized deployments—paving the way for a resilient energy future in Southeast Asia.

1. Background on PEA’s Digital Transformation

Thailand’s PEA is rapidly evolving into a digital utility, modernizing its grid to enhance reliability and customer service through smart‑grid platforms and renewable integration. In its 2022 Annual Report, PEA highlighted expansion of smart‑meter and smart‑grid projects to meet growing demand across 74 provinces.

2. Technical Exchange: Innovating Power Monitoring

At CYG Contron’s headquarters, our team demonstrated advanced solutions including On‑line Dissolved Gas Analysis and Partial Discharge On‑line Monitoring—vital for preemptive maintenance of high‑voltage assets. Dr. Larik Nauman Ali addressed PEA’s queries on data accuracy and localization, drawing on case studies from China’s Belt & Road power projects.

3. Interactive Tech Showcase

The PEA delegation toured our exhibition hall, witnessing live, on‑site demonstrations of:

  • Real‑time partial discharge monitoring for substation transformers.

  • Cloud‑based power‑quality analytics with AI‑driven anomaly detection.

  • Continuous dissolved gas analysis to prevent equipment failures.

4. Future Collaboration Pathways

During the meeting, both parties reached the following key consensus to deepen future cooperation:

  • Customized Solutions: Adapting our products to Thailand’s tropical climate and grid standards.

  • Training & Trials: Conducting technical workshops and pilot installations for PEA engineers.

5. Strengthening Regional Energy Resilience

This visit reinforces CYG Contron’s commitment to powering safer, more resilient power networks across Southeast Asia. By combining our industrial‑grade passive locking and smart monitoring with PEA’s ambition for a digital grid, we’ll enhance grid reliability, reduce outages, and support Thailand’s sustainable energy goals.
